Best animated spot
The Mallorcan animated short-film Woody&Woody, from writer Laura Gost and director Jaume Carrió, has been awarded a Goya, the most significant national film award.
The 12-minute film pays homage to Woody Allen and depicts a conversation between his animated character and his alter-ego from the 80s in which they chat about various subjects like his obsession with hygiene, the fear of death and setbacks in his personal life. The action all takes place in a bar with jazz music in the background.
The short film was directed by Jaume Carrió and produced by CEF Productions and Tomavistas, with the support of the regional television station IB3 and the local government of Mallorca.
